OUT with the OLD, IN with the NEW

As we embrace the New Convenant with Christ, it's time to leave behind the old ways of sin and law, stepping into the TRANSFORMITIVE POWER of the GOSPEL that brings Salvation and New Life.

1 Corinthians 15:1-2: "Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you have received and on which you have taken your stand. By this GOSPEL You are Saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain."

The Gospel means the "good news" - the record of Jesus' life.

We are called to Share the Good News of what God in Christ has done for US, with others.

Jesus said in Mark 16:15, "Go into ALL the World and PREACH the GOSPEL to ALL Creation."

So let's get good at sharing the gospel, showing our affection for Jesus, as in Romans 1:16-17, "For I am Not Ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the POWER of GOD that brings SALVATION to EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES... The righteous will Live by Faith."

The Gospel is the Power of God, the Good News of Salvation.

You are now part of the Jesus Ministry - your reach, whether family, friends, or coworkers, this is your mission field.

Here are a few things to keep in mind as we step out into the world as Ambassadors for Jesus, sharing the gospel.

TIP #1 Embrace the New Convenant

Remember which Testament You Belong to - the New Convenant!

The Old Testament focused on sin and sacrifices, while the New Testament (Gospel) centers on One Commandment that Fulfills ALL Ten.

John 13:34, " A NEW Command I give you: LOVE ONE ANOTHER. As I HAVE LOVED YOU, so You Must Love One Another."

Galatians 3:23-26 mentions how before faith came, we were under the law, like a guardian. But Now that Faith has Come through Christ, we are no longer under the law. Through faith in Jesus, We are All Children of God.

Romans 10:4 "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."

TIP #2 - Share the Gospel with Love and Relatability

Remember what turned you off about Jesus or church before you came to Christ and share His love in a way that is relatable to the person.

Here's an example: Imagine you're drowning, and someone throws you a life raft. That's what Jesus did for us - He rescued us from sin and offers us New Life. All we have to do is trust in Him and accept His gift of salvation.

Jesus' death took care of sin completely. Colossians 2:13-14 explains this.

TIP #3: Live as Jesus' Ambassador in the World

Consider how Jesus treated sinners with Love and Compassion, Healing and Saving them. In John 8:3-11, He showed mercy, even when the Pharisees wanted to stone the adulterous woman.

As we go out into the world, remember that you are the light of the world, shining God's love and truth for all to see (Matthew 5:14)

Blessings on your work in Sharing the Gospel!
